The pizza is SO good, and the wings are a go-to. Super neighborhoody vibe with exceptionally friendly staff, a superb beer selection that is constantly rotating and fresh, and excellent salads. Plus sports! Catch a random weeknight Dubs game or spend the better part of a Sunday watching NFL and noshing on pizza and beer. This isn't your chain pizza joint; it's a legit original, and you can tell the moment you walk in.

July 15, 2026 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There are pizza nights, and then there are nights where the pizza gods themselves look down from the heavens, nod approvingly, and whisper, “Yeah… that’s the order.” Today was one of those days. I rolled in and ordered a 16-inch pepperoni pizza, two sides of ranch, and a pint of whatever magical liquid everyone else seems to order when they know more than I do. Sometimes the best strategy in life is trusting the professionals, and this establishment did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. No attitude. No rushing. No feeling like you’re just another transaction. Just good people providing great service with the kind of effortless professionalism that makes everything feel easy. And then the food arrived. Let’s talk about that pizza. Absolute top-tier. The kind of pizza that makes you take a bite, pause for a second, and immediately start calculating how many slices you’re willing to share versus how many you’re secretly planning to protect with your life. Love Philomena! The mushroom pizza and Miss piggy are delicious! But if you love pesto… there are some yum options, too. I always keep a bottle of Phil ranch in the fridge and use it at home for all sorts of things. Okay… and then there is the meat lasagna. I swear a little old grandma made that sauce. With cheese, garlicky toasty bread. I usually want to eat the whole thing but try and put half in a box right away so I can savor it for lunch the next day. They have great ice creams and gelatos with rotating flavors. Tricia night every other Tuesday is a hit and so fun. I work as a teacher and we enjoy getting a group together every so often. It’s a great hang!

Philomena's is an absolute gem that delivers on every front! The pizza, top tier, hands down! I ordered the Mushroom Pizza. It has persillade sauce and green onions. I added the Italian sausage, so good. Some of the best pizza ever! Special shoutout to Rico and Kyle—these two are best in show! Their energy, kindness, and attention completely elevated the experience. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality, and they made sure everything was spot-on from start to finish. Whether you're there for the pizza, craft beer or just the atmosphere, you'll leave with a full belly and an even fuller spirit. Perfect therapeutic escape after a taxing day. Highly recommend!

We’ve lived in the neighborhood for over a year and I can’t believe we hadn’t visited here sooner! Before moving to Oakland, the wife, cats, and I lived in Chicago - where there is all sorts of good pizza, not just deep dish. Anyway, Philomena is up to par and has delicious pies, as well as beer and kombucha on tap. For this visit, we got the Miss Piggy with gluten free crust, which was great! We also had the kombucha (mint guava) which is delicious, and their wings which I would recommend. The chicken isn’t over fried or battered - just good chicken with good sauce. Looking forward to coming back!
